Directions to the Complex

The Kohl's Festival and Mazzios Governor's Cup is this weekend May 3-4 at the Big Green Soccer Complex . If you need directions to the complex please click here. Click on the green soccer player to input your starting point and get directions from where you live.

Field Questions and Answers

This time of year we recieve phone calls asking about whether the fields are open or closed due to field conditions. This article will help you answer that question. Below you will find information on how to tell if the complex has been closed due to field conditions or whether your child's games have been cancelled.

Question : Are the fields available to play on for practices or games?

Answer : At the top right corner of this page is the LSC Field alerts Indicator. "Open" indicates that the complex is open to hold practices or games. No games have been cancelled. "Closed" indicates that the complex is closed to all Practices and Games as a result of poor field conditions. If fields are in the "Closed" state Monday - Friday it is because we do not want teams practicing or playing on the playing surface in an effort to keep the playing surface playable for Saturday / Sunday mornings. So when they are in the "Closed" state, please stay off of the fields. If the fields are in the "Closed" state on Saturday or Sunday then all games have been cancelled.

Question : Is there a way to recieve Field updates through email or on my cell phone, blackberry, or communication device?

Answer : Yes. You can recieve instant updates to your cellular device or email using our "eStatus" service. At the top right corner of the page is the "eStatus" tab. Click the tab and follow the instructions to add your email address or cell phone number to our database. You will be instantly notified anytime the Field Status is changed. It is free to use this service but your cell phone/pager carrier may charge a fee for receiving messages. Please check with your carrier to determine if there is a fee for receiving text messages.

Question : What if only some of the fields are not playable. How do I know my child's game is cancelled or not ?

Answer : If for some reason the field that you're child was scheduled to play on is not playable, the game will be moved to an alternate field. Information will be available at the clubhouse.

Question : When is a good time to check the website for updates to Field Status, changes to the schedule, or cancellations?

Answer : The webpage will be updated on Friday evening or early Saturday morning prior to Saturday morning's scheduled games. If nothing has been posted on the webpage then games are to be played as scheduled.

Question : When is the decision made to close down the complex to all practices and/or games ?

Answer : The decisions are made at the latest possible moment in an effort to "not cancel games" . As a result decisions are made on Friday evening or Saturday morning.
